As the Product Development & Design Assistant at Mestiza New York, I oversee the development of women's ready to wear collections from concept through final sampling and production. I collaborate with design, merchandising, production, and factory partners to oversee sample development, fittings, technical documentation, and product execution while ensuring projects stay on schedule. I create original seasonal artwork, textile prints, embroidery concepts, and technical flats that align with the brand's creative vision. I communicate daily with overseas factories to provide technical comments, review samples, and resolve development challenges throughout every stage of the sample lifecycle. Through strong cross functional collaboration, I help deliver high quality & market ready collections that meet Mestiza's standards for fit, construction, and craftsmanship.
